Product Overview
Glass mineral wool insulation roll, measuring 100mm in thickness and supplied in a combi-cut format for loft applications.
Manufactured using ECOSE® Technology with a high recycled content, the roll combines effective thermal insulation with a reduced environmental impact.
Combi-cut part-splits allow installation as either 2 × 570mm or 3 × 380mm widths, aligning with both 400mm and 600mm joist centres for straightforward fitting and minimal waste.
The flexible composition adapts to minor surface irregularities and knits together at joins, helping to maintain continuous coverage without gaps.
With a thermal conductivity of 0.044 W/mK and a Euroclass A1 non-combustible rating, the roll delivers dependable thermal performance and the highest level of fire safety.
At 100mm thick, it is most commonly used as a top-up layer over existing insulation to help boost overall loft performance.
Features & Benefits
- Glass mineral wool composition: Provides dependable acoustic absorption alongside strong thermal insulation.
- Made from recycled glass: High recycled content supports sustainability and reduces environmental impact.
- ECOSE® Technology: Uses a formaldehyde-free binder for improved indoor air quality and lower embodied energy.
- Combi-Cut flexibility: Pre-split to suit both 400mm and 600mm joist centres, reducing waste and speeding up installation.
- Resilient quilt form: Recovers thickness after compression, ensuring consistent thermal performance.
- Adapts to surfaces: Conforms to slight irregularities in the substrate to improve coverage.
- Knits together in place: Quilts interlock to minimise air gaps, maintaining reliable performance across the loft area.
- Euroclass A1 fire rating: Non-combustible for maximum fire safety within the building fabric.
- Thermal conductivity 0.044 W/mK: Ensures effective heat retention, supporting energy savings.
- Lightweight and flexible: Easy to handle, carry, and fit in confined loft spaces.
-
100mm thickness: Ideal for increasing overall loft performance by supplementing existing insulation.
Applications
- Loft top-up insulation: Commonly used as an additional layer over existing insulation to bring total depth closer to current Building Regulation standards.
- Between joists (first layer): Can be installed between timber joists at ceiling level, though usually combined with further layers to achieve full thermal performance.
- Cross-layering: Suitable for cross-laying above joists to reduce thermal bridging when used with a thicker base layer.
- Suspended timber floors: Can provide thermal and acoustic insulation between joists where a shallower depth is required.
Installation Guidance
- Install between joists as first layer: Creates base thermal coverage.
- Lay second layer at right angles: Enhances performance by reducing gaps.
-
Ensure tight fit with no voids: Maintains insulation continuity.
